Who’s on next? for Africa

africa_0x440

Fashion goes to Africa thanks to a community of courageous and strong women who are keeping alive the heritage of their continent, the cradle of humankind. With the support of an important Italian distribution chain and a prestigious fashion project. Through Fashion Freedom, the project conceived byCoop stores of Central Italy and ITC – a UN and World Trade Organization agency based in Geneva – many African women will be able to work within a high quality fashion system, thanks to the unusual partnership of Alta Roma and Vogue Italia with Who is on Next? on one side, and with Coop stores of Central Italy on the other.

Since 2008 Alta Roma and Coop stores have been carrying out together with ITC an ethical fashion project based upon the work of African communities, in support of which many initiatives have been already organized. And this one promises to be the most ground-breaking of all: the young designers of Who is on Next? will create together with the African community an organic cotton T-shirt, enriched by African handicraft works. Also the packaging will look nice, made with organic and natural materials. The selected products will be awarded and then distributed throughout Coop retail stores in various Italian regions: Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio and Campania.

How to be a part of it?

Please write to whoisonnext@altaroma.it they should be able to provide more information.

NOTE: This project is dedicated to young designers and is open to ethical fashion in Africa, in collaboration with a UN agency and with Coop stores of Central Italy.
