I like your take that fashion is the art of lifestyle. Based on that, then we can safely say fashion is art or an aspect of art. But I think it’s a definition that can be conceivable in both ways–fashion is art, art is fashion–and you would not find objection in either.

Art and fashion go hand in hand if you ask me. They define your style, giving you the very basic tools you need to become a style icon.
