Oh What a night!!

Saturday 4th April 2009 was the much anticipated final show of what was the Spring Summer 2009  Sanlam Fashion Week.The must have ticket of the event was for the Story/ Stoned Cherrie show held at the  Turbine Hall, New Town.  Both designers displayed an array of beautiful and wearable pieces, which could translate easily from the catwalk to the sidewalk.Story’s collection payed great attention to detail, which could be seen in the elaborate beading and tailoring. The collection was on trend with Harem trousers and leggings making up the core of the collection. The little black dress was reworked with feather detail, beading and fringing.

 

Stoned Cherrie, definitely worked within the theme of stones, with the best part of the collection being made up of jewel tones. The apparel had a casual tone, with flowing maxi dresses, petal pleats and tunics to update any lack luster wardrobe.
