Born in 1976 in Addis Ababa Ethiopia . He joined the Addis Ababa university school of fine arts and design in 1996 and graduated in 1999 in painting. Now working as a full time studio artist in Saron art studio.
Debebe has exhibited his works at several places in Ethiopia and abroad. Djibouti , Sudan , Zambia Lusaka, Germany , USA , and France . He has worked as a part time art instructor in different schools since he graduated.

Hi Debebe, you came into my studio on Thursday, and we talked about your work. I am so glad I saw your website, it is very good, and I love your work. Very painterly, loose, lots of feeling and great color. I hope I was helpful with information about shrinkwrap, etc. I hope you GO FOR IT, when the Torpedo Factory opens jurying again in March lf 2010. But get your paperwork earlier, like December 2009. You are deserving of an atelier in the Torpedo Factory, it is a great place to work. More than 1M people walk through the doors per year. Many artists make a decent living with their art, some with teaching, and some without. I hope to see you again.
