Baker Ben Fredj
Born in Hammamet, Tunisia in the mid 1960s. Baker still lives and works in this small fishing port. From 1986 to 1991, Baker studied at the art college in the Capital, Tunis and gained a Masters Degree in Art, specializing in etching at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Tunis, Tunisia.
In October 2005 he was invited to the pre Biennale in Koln, Germany and in 2003 exhibited at the Kunst Forum in Cologne, Germany.
His resume includes exhibitions in France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Morroco. In 1993/94 Baker had a year residency in Paris, France at the Cite Internationale des Arts.
Today he is one of Tunisia most important artists and lives with wife and son in Hammamet, Tunisia.
